Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) exam is held in two Sundays in July during the year. One Sunday it is held for entrance exam to MBA course and the other Sunday it is held for MCA course. There are around 3500 seats are available for MBA institutes and about 1600 to 1700 seats are available for MCA institutes. All these institutes are covered in the area of Gujarat. Each of the year GCET examination was conducted by different universities like Gujarat University, Saurashtra University etc. Examination notification comes in the month of June in the various local newspapers in of the city of Gujarat. Selection is to be done on the basis of written test performance, Group Discussion etc. In the result sheet there is no specification of marks.

To get admission in GCET, student must passed H.S.C examination from Gujarat.
