If you want to take an admission in various programmes in IGNOU, you can make payment through credit card. After submitting an online application, you have to submit the printed form at regional centre of IGNOU.

You can also take an admission by cash payment also. For this you have to go any of the Axis Bank branch and pay the fees. After payment of fees the bank will take one copy of the challan and return two copies to the student. Student will affix his or her photograph and also signed in the admission form and submit it to regional office. of IGNOU.

Another method of payment through bank draft also. You have to download an application form and submit it to the regional office also with necessary fees through bank draft. A draft in favour of IGNOU payable at a particular city where your regional centre is situated.

After submitting online application, applicant is required to submit following documents to the concerned regional centre:

1. Admission form affixed with photograph and duly signed.

2. Demand Draft or Cash details for the first year or semester fees.

5. Caste certificate for SC / ST / PH candidates whichever applicable.

6. Certificate of experienced if required.

You will be informed by the IGNOU within 60 days after the receipt of your application.

IGNOU - Indira Gandhi National Open University was established in the year 1988 at Ahmedabad region. It started with few study centres and recently there are various types of study centres and various types of programmes are also available. More than one lakh students in various types of programmes have been enrolled.

Admission procedure conducted two times in a year. First start in the month of January and ending on December. The second one starts in the months of July and ending on June.

One Session : From 01 June To 30 November

Second Session : From 01 December To 31 May

Most of the Masters degree programmes are offered in the month of July while Diplomas and other professional programmes are conducted in the month of January.

Advertisement relating to admission in various courses will appear in most of the local news papers.

Scholarship scheme is also available for various types of Post Graduate Level Programmes.

Entrance Tests for MBA and B.Ed.

There is entrance examinations available for MBA and B.Ed. programmes. In MBA entrance exam will be conducted twice in a year while it is conducted only once in a year in B.Ed. programmes.

For MBA entrance examination, entrance form must reach on or before 30 June for August entrance test and it is for 31 December for February entrance test. But for B.Ed. entrance test it should be reach on or before 15 July each of the year.

Term End Examinations are to be conducted two times in a year i.e. December and June. Students are required to fill up the examination form on or before a particular date. Necessary fees to be submitted by the student itself.

The age limit to join IAS course is between 21 to 30 years. There is some relaxable in age limit for SC / ST / OBC categories.

If you have bachelor degree from recognised university, you can easily join IAS course. It is necessary for you to learn at least any of the following subjects during your bachelor degree: Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology etc.

Candidate is required to fill up an application form to appear in IAS examination. A nominal value of Rs. 100/- is to be taken as fee. There is no fees for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped Candidates.

To fill up form is is very simple, it includes general information of candidates like Name, Date of Birth, Father Name, Address, Photograph etc. You must be careful to fill up this form i.e. without spelling mistake it should be completed.

You have to select only one language from the list of 18 Indian Languages.

Before a long period of time only three centers covered for IAS examination namely Delhi, Patna and Allahabad. Recently most of the cities are covered for this examination in every state. First thing is that you should prepared for this one year period of examination and other thing is that you have a little knowledge of language which you choose for your examination. If you qualified with these two things then you will easily success in this examination.

Preparation for prelims in such a way so that you will success in your examination. Time is less for Mains examination, after passing Prelims examination. History and Sociology subjects for Prelims are safe.

Preliminary Examination:

Preliminary examination is to be held in either May or in June month. Two papers are covered under preliminary examination. One is General Studies and other one is Optional Subject. In optional subject you will choose e from various subjects list i.e. Psychology, Sociology, Agriculture, Maths, Statistics etc. Result of this examination is to be declared in the month of July or August. After success in Prelim exam, all successful candidates are called for the Main examination.

Main Examination:

Main examination is to be held in the month of either October or in the month of November. It takes about three hours of each and covered nine papers in all. Successful candidate in the main exam is eligible for an interview.

Interview:

Generally interview call is to be held in the month of either March or April. The number of candidates called for an interview are twice than the actual vacancy.
