National Institute of Design (NID)

NID (National Institute of Design) is one of the best institution in the field of research and design education. National Institute of Design is recognised by Government of India. In industrial design education NID is a Pioneer. NID was set up by the Government of India in the year 1961. Main aim of this institute is to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to design. This programme is dealing with NID graduates. Main object of placement cell is to provide good job to student in various types of big industirs and companies in India and Abroad also. Students must give interview first and then he is selected at proper place in company and get good job. Classroom projects plays an important role in student’s career life. Through this projects student can get good benefit in future. Training in various types of industry for the period of about 50 days also plays an important role in student’s career life. There is also Final Diploma Project of six months time. Placement Cell is also take care of students projects, their industrial training and also diploma projects.

The institute integrated design projects for industry, government etc. through its Integrated Design Services Department. The empanelment is the period of 18 months and it is renewed. You can download Empanelment Form through website and after filled it, you have to send a demand draft of Rs. 5,000 also in favour of National Institute of Design

NID is engaged in the field of research and publications activities recently. NID is one ofthe best institution in the field of applied research, training, design education etc. Through Research and Publications programme, there is big chance for designers in research and publications.

The Industry Programmes is sharing design education, skill, knowledge, research etc. NID announces a number of series of design workshops. This design workshop is conducted in the campus, NID, Ahmedabad by the experienced faculty and some other experts. The main purpose of this workshop is to give full training idea to the students and come into existence market. This programme carry link between the product and the market also.
