Management Aptitude Test (MAT)

MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is a National Entrance Test which is conducted by CMS (Centre for Management Services).  CMS is the specialized division of AIMA. MAT exam is necessary to those who want to get admission in MBA.

To appear get admission in MAT you must be graduate from recognized university. Students who is studying in the final year is also eligible for MAT Exam.

MAT Exam consists of objectives types of questions. Time duration for this test is two and a half hour. Test paper is divided into five different types of sections and each section carry 40 marks. The questions asked in this test is related to Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical, Data Sufficiency, General Awareness etc.

MAT is held at various test centers in all over India. It is also held at Abroad centers. In India test centers are most of the major cities like Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Patna, Chennai, Coimatore, Kolkata, Bhopal, Lucknow etc. You have to select which center is best for you and which is nearby your residence also. In abroad side, it is held at Dubai, Singapore, Chicago, Washington, Canberra etc.

Eligibility :

Any graduate student from recognized university is eligible for appearing MAT Examination. Student who is studying in the final year is also eligible for MAT Exam.

MAT is an objective type test with multiples choice of answers. The test consists different types of questions with different types of marks (total 200 marks) and you have to complete within two and half hours:

The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI)

Foundation Course:

To get admission in foundation course for ICWAI you must be 17 years old and passed your H.S.C. Examination. If your H.S.C. result will come in short period of time you will also apply for this course. Exams of foundation course will be held in June and December in a particular year. For application form you go to website : http://www.icwai.org

Last date for submission is 15 April to appear in the month of June and 25 October to appear in the month of December. The Foundation Course fee is Rs. 730/- (including Examination Form Fee of Rs. 30/-) which is paid by the Demand Draft only. If you fail in a particular time you have one more chance with a penalty of Rs. 200/- (late fee)

You will pass your foundation course only after getting at least 40 percent marks in each of the paper and 50 percent aggregate marks. A marksheet will be given by the Institute to the candidate who passed examination.

Intermediate Course:

You will get admission in Intermediate course only after you must got a valid registration number, obtained coaching completion certificate, not been disqualified from appearing in ICWAI exam, submitted an valid application form alongwith fees to the institute.

For obtaining Coaching Completion Certificate (CCC), it is necessary for the student to complete the following trainings:-

1. A Student is required to appear in Group Discussion in every stage. The fees for Group Discussion for each stage is Rs. 250/-

2. A student is also required to appear in Business Communication Seminar in two stages. The fee is Rs. 250/- per Seminar.

3. It is compulsory for each of the student to attend computer training during specific period of time which is recognised by the Institute. Fee is paid by the student which is fixed by the Institute.

You will exempt in this training if you have any of the following:

“O” Lever Certificate of DOEACC, Degree of BCA, MCA, PGDCA, BMS which is recognised by the University.

Final Course:

You will get admission in final course only after you must got a valid registration number, obtained coaching completion certificate, not been disqualified from appearing in ICWAI exam, submitted an valid application form alongwith fees to the institute.

For obtaining Coaching Completion Certificate (CCC), it is necessary for the student to complete the following trainings:-

1. A candidate is require to conduct dissertation under the guidance of a person with any of the qualifications like FICWA, FCA, FCS, University Professor, Associate Professor etc. Each of the compy submitted by the student is kept with the Regional Council or Chapter in their library for future purpose. No fees will be charged for such type of dissertation.

2. It is compulsory for each of the student to attend computer training during specific period of time which is recognised by the Institute. Fee is paid by the student which is fixed by the Institute.

You will exempt in this training if you have any of the following degree:

“O” Lever Certificate of DOEACC, Degree of Post Graduate, Diploma awarded by Indian University or AICTE.

The Regional Councils and Chapters will also arrange modular training for fifteen working days. Fees for this training is Rs. 1500/-.

Company Secretary

If you want to get degree of Company Secretary you must pass its three stages exam like Foundation, Intermediate and Final. After getting degree of C.S. the candidate will join in good company not only in India but also in abroad.

Foundation Course

If you want to join in foundation course, you must passed your H.S.C. examination. Exam of this course will be held in December and June month only i.e. two times in a particular year. You must register before nine months from the commencement of the exam. Various subjects are covered under this course like : English, Business Communication, Economics, Financial Accounting, Business Environment, Business Laws, Management etc.

Intermediate Course

After successful in Foundation Examination of Company Secretary, candidate is eligible to join Intermediate Course for the same degree. You must be atleast age of 17 to get admission in Intermediate course. If you have passed your ICWAI exam, you will direct get admission in Intermediate Course also. This course included two groups i.e. Group - I and Group - II. The exam of Intermediate Course will be held also in the month of June and December.

GMAT Test:

At least six months are required for GMAT preparation. Now GMAT is a computerized test which offers many new challenges. There is no age or qualifications required for GMAT test.

Who can take GMAT?

If you want to get admission in US universities, atleast 16 years of education is required for this. In some universities three years of work experience is considered instead of 16 years of education If you academic record is higher value, a good GMAT score can give you admission in top university.

GMAT structure:

Total time duration for GMAT is three and half hours or 210 minutes.

Verbal section: This section’s time limit is 75 minutes and included total 41 questions.

Math section: This section’s time limit is 75 minutes and included total 37 questions.

Analytical writing: This section’s time limit is 30 minutes and included two segments i.e. two essay writing.

Complete answer of question is to be considered.

TOFEL : The Test of English as a Foreign Language

The TOEFL was developed for students who want to study abroad especially in US and Canada. Education in these two countries use English as instruction language. Besides these two countries, government agencies, professional agencies are also interested in TOFEL scores also.

The TOEFL is written by Educational Testing Service (ETS). In the year 1998 ETS developed a computer based version of the TOFEL, today in the most of the part of the world computer based test (CBT) is available.

Preperation for TOFEL Test:

If you register for the TOFEL exam from any part of the world, ETS will provide you free of charge its test preparation materials.

Question in TOEFL test?

140 different types of questions are available in TOFEL test. Time duration is differ from one test administration to other one.

Registration for TOFEL test:

If you want to register for TOFEL test, you have to select any way from two ways. First you will registered online i.e. through website and the second way is that you have to register through mail i.e. you must obtain information about registration form and some useful information about TOFEL test.

Cost for TOFEL test:

If you are ready for TOFEL test, you have to pay atleast $130 as a part of fees.

To Receive Admission Ticket:

You will receive your admission ticket before 15 days before the date of exam. If you are fail to receive your ticket, you must contact administrator of TOFEL to receive it.

To Change TOFEL Exam Date:

To change date of TOFEL exam is not permissible. You have to request for changing of your exam date. You must submit a new registration form and fees for obtaining another date of TOFEL exam.

Requirements at the time of TOFEL Exam:

When you go at TOFEL test exam centre, you have to provide an admission ticket, official authority letter, identification letters, photo etc.

Test of Written English (TWE):

You will be required to take the Test of Written English (TWE). There is no fees paid by you for TWE test. TWE score will show the scores separately.

How to receive Test Score?

You will receive your results (score) through mail and also send to institutes which listed on your anwer sheet withing five to six weeks after the completion of test.
